Our Workshops

Our workshops are designed for groups and teams of up to 30 people. Each workshop includes a presentation of the key ideas, group activities, personal reflections, conversation between team members and follow up exercises for the team to use into the future. All workshop materials are supplied, along with a printed and digital summary of the key ideas and exercises completed in the workshop. We offer core workshops on our three central streams: Leadership and Strategy, Creativity and Innovation, Culture and Communication, and work with you to develop bespoke workshops for your specific needs. 

Leadership & Strategy

Great leaders are often good people who have taken the time to develop personal skills that translate to new and challenging environments. Leaders need to anticipate the future and respond to unexpected realities. Our leadership workshops draw on the performing arts to develop skills in resilience, adaptability, public speaking and presentation, negotiation, storytelling and managing group dynamics.

Our strategy workshops utilise deep insights gained in game design and game mechanics to offer tools for strategic thinking, understanding user and customer journeys, designing systems and products, and leading change management. Leadership and strategy are creative and the right play tools can help you develop powerful leadership skills and strategy tools. 

Creativity & Innovation

“The opportunity for creativity” is often included on the list of things we’d like our work to offer us. A lot of the time we don’t see the opportunities, or we feel paralysed by the blank canvas or overwhelmed by the possibilities when the opportunity does arise. A playful approach to creative thinking can help make the process easier to start and can be incredibly useful when we’re feeling stuck. Our creativity workshops provide a range of practical tools for developing the creative capacity of staff and help the creative process. 

Great innovation involves a diversity of perspectives and experiences coming together to find and then solve complex problems. Most organisations ignore innovation until the need is urgent and glaring. Our innovation workshops help embed a culture of ongoing innovation in the way teams work. We offer ideas and frameworks that can help guide the process for innovating, from the first idea, all the way to implementing and refining new systems and products over time.

Culture & Communication

We’ve been working on understanding each other for thousands of years and yet we often get it wrong. Good communication is vitally important for navigating working relationships, shaping clear strategies and collaborating around ideas. Communicating well is harder than we think, and we need to learn to communicate better. 

Our communication workshops draw on education, psychology, theatre and game design to develop skills in workplace communication. Our team building and culture workshops help organisations design meaningful, connected, creative and effective ways of working together. We offer a new perspective on meetings, thinking about group dynamics and approaching success measures and staff motivation.
